I have indeed, plus a couple of other bits.

unlike others ill hapily inform of my spec Guy,

k24/26 turbo's with 1bar actuators

75mm throttle body coupled to a new modified plenum.

70mm intake hosing from the airbox to the turbo's with a smaller billet fuel filter to accomodate.

larger k24 Headers, These are the new style one's where all the pipes collect at the turbo outlet as opposed to collecting at a flange then connecting to the turbo outlet.

bmc panel filter

Milltek exhaust

5 bar fpr

performance spark plugs.

Plus a Remap from Rob to make it all work.
Very nicely and well judged spec if you don't mind me saying clap

Have you done you hoses (Silicon/braided) yet.. I'd look into a stronger clutch if you already havent smile

Please do keep us updated, would be nice to follow a UK tune instead of crossing the pond all the time...

Apart from Dv/exhaust/map on my Turbo I'm an avid mod' forum lurker, but there def. seems to be a common way to go these days... Looks like you've only got wastegate/v-flow/injectors to start pushing high 600's (with another remapsmile), but like you've seen, torque will rip the road up if it gets hold of it!!

Sounds good, 600bhp GT2s are a lot of fun, but very very scary at times smile

Yup, its a big step opening the engine, lots of faith! Mind you if ever I got an excuse to replace my K16's I'd take a closer look at Craigs Zero Clearance ones smile

Nice headline power fig. Would personally prefer the torque, then get the suspension set to match. A good diff setup will help as well.

:disclaimer: I maybe wrong.

To place the RPM correctly place the point at which torque and BHP cross at 5250rpm.

Awesome car.

I fail to understand how the figures can be accurate if they didn't actually know the rpm.

Hi smile

If the spark plug reader is an inductive pickup (like on my Snap-On Timing light) I cannot see why it could not be connected ???

Do dynos read CORRECTLY or at all ?? if the revs are not input to the dyno ????

All the best Brett smile

The absolute BHP is not affected by incorrect gearing input, however the shape of the torque curve will be pushed up if gearing is "too short" or suppressed if its put in as too long etc.

Things that affect the BHP number are dyno applied correction factors for weather. The gear used makes almost no difference on low BHP cars but has a small effect on big BHP cars, as does getting the car up onto one roller vs two rollers [more drag on two]

Cheers

tyres have a major influence - soft competition tyres being really bad. They stick to the rollers massively increasing drag

You are of course correct but I took it that most on here would know that. Sorry I should never assume.

We have to have our cars (BMWs) dynoed and sealed. The graphs being available for the championship organisers to view and publish.

We use one rolling road and yes the exact same tyres to check all cars.

Not sure if you do, but i don't generally see dyno tuners changing the rear tyres before they start tuning, with so many cars and different hubs and wheels who could cope with that !

It's just practise, we bought the Porsche interface for our dyno. It plugs straight into the OBD port and takes its data from there, thus avoiding the need for tyre/revs calcs.
