With the recent purchase of the Porsche 996 GT2 by some people on Pistonheads

Are certain people on here giving this car a bad name ?

Ive upset a few TVR owners ( and rightly so ! )and a certain other driver has been banned recently for an hour on a foreign Trackday for his driving technique ( + other things ! )

Then there was that lunatic who had half of the American Police Force after him in the Gumball Rally

To be fair, I get 'wred' at whatever car I'm driving.

I guess there's a message there somewhere...

I think I've only upset the pretty boys in their 997 RS..

Otherwise, I've been an angel

Surely its only right that there should be a certain amount of bad boy behavior from GT2 drivers, it goes with the nature of the car. laugh

Other Porsche drivers use to nod and smile when Im in the 996 GT3RS

Now they look at me with the contempt reserved for those Scooby Doo drivers
with all those stickered up cars and Burberry hats on !

Im sure those nice polite 997 GT3 RS boys dont have this trouble

Thats probably because 90% of Porsche drivers couldnt tell the difference between a GT2 and a 996tt..im sure its not personal Tim,and to be fair if you waved at every 996 on the road you would end up with aching armssmile

I've recently had a couple of verbal insults, but I doubt the to$$ers concerned would know the difference between a GT2 or Covin... confused

Posing tw@t was one comment as a thirtysomething and his girlfriend walked by, and the finger followed by w@nker from a couple of twentysomething's as they walked by while I was sat at the traffic lights!

Ten years ago i'd have dropped them where they stand, but I now find it quite amusing how jealousy brings on these remarkable comments.
