Guys

I am thinking of getting a new MAF, read on here the Bosch part is exactly the same part as a Porsche supplied one.
Can anyone confirm its exactly the same part (ie not a copy)
What the part number is ?
Where to get one quick (Eurocarparts ?)

Cheers.

You can get them from any Bosch dealer. Best to take yours out and get the numbers off it, one will be the Bosch number. I got one recently from my local Bosch dealer, the new one was exactly the same, even had the Porsche number on it.

Eurocar Parts or GSF should have them. Check out their websites.

Wierd.....the Euro Car Parts site has nothing listed under Air Flow Meter in the Engine Electrical section for a 996 2002 Turbo.

I took the following details/numbers off mine last week when I cleaned it:
0280 218 009
996.606.124.00
Made in Germany
381 16 3A
Off a 53 plate 996 Turbo. Try any Bosche dealer but to be safe it's best to check your part numbers

Thanks Dozer - I rang EuroCarParts and they gave me same part number but with 055 at the end - could be slightly different because mine is an 02 car ?

mine is an 02 turbo, and the top two numbers are the same as dozer996, these i believe are the bosch and porsche numbers, i would make sure these numbers are the same on the new one.

mmmm glad now I didn't order the one from EuroCarParts that ended in 055 and not 009, even though I was assured it was the right part.

Unless bosch have changed the part number? but unlikely i would have thought.
I just gave that number to my local bosch agent, he typed it into the computer and ordered it, £150 plus vat
Have you taken yours out to check the numbers?
