Having decided that I will save myself 20k and not upgrade to a 996TT, I am going to invest in my C2 starting with a PSE. Before I take the plunge, and spend £800 can anyone tell me if it is worth it on a tiptronic and what are anyone's experiences sound and performance wise!!
Sound improves greatly, quite simply one of the best sounds around. Performance wise.....nothing I'm afraid

You should have a rethink and put the £800 towards the £20k cost.James4492 said:

You know you won't ever see any of this upgrade money back come sale time ...But you probably won't lose your shirt on the money spent on a TT ...
Just being devils advocate
Exactly! I have decided to stick with my 25k C2, simply because a TT costs me 45k, but then I get into the 997C2S territory for another 6-7K. Then of course it's all about depreciation. As I see it my 996 is fairly depreciation proof in so far as the losses are minimised relative to the Purchase Price. I can live with say 5-8k loss versus a potential 25k loss!
My C2 is a third w/end car and is plenty fast enough and a great car, it just needs a more aggressive sound. The reason I am hooked on the PSE is that when test driving the TT and a C4s, the sound was phenominal, but I am not sure that will ever be replicated on a 3.4 C2. If anyone has a PSE on a tiptronic in particular, I would be grateful for any of your feedback.

your 25k C2 will lose £300 per month in depreciation over the next 18 months.....My C2 is a third w/end car and is plenty fast enough and a great car, it just needs a more aggressive sound. You will pull away in first alot moreYou will get annoyed that you cant always quickly drop it a few gears to impress the ladies as the tiptronic is just a bit like that
You will get through a whole lot more petrol
You will not regret getting it

I have PSE on my 996 c2 tip. It sounds fantastic and the exhaust tips look much better although I would prefer the ones that look like 2 circles merging into each other, but they appear to be welded on so can't change them.My C2 is a third w/end car and is plenty fast enough and a great car, it just needs a more aggressive sound.
