Living in London you get used to seeing all kinds of exotica every day so it takes something very special to get me to stop and actually take a picture. However, saw this parked just a couple of streets away from my house and just had to take a quick snap. Now that is a beautiful (and I assume quite rate?) Porsche. Unfortunately my crappy phone pics don't do the car justice - looked immaculate in deep red and obviously immaculately maintained (RUF plate was a nice touch..).

If anyone's on here, congratulations..! cloud9

What's an impact bumper car doing with teardrop mirrors?

I've seen that same one! Parked up near my friends house in 'west london', certainly in amazing condition for its age and possibly being an 'outside' car.

Lovely condition! I wanted to wait to see if the owner would come back, unfortunatly the wife had other plans. Wonder if it will turn up at one of the Ace Cafe nights? Also wonder if it is real?

i am not being funny.. but don't you think you should be a bit less precise about where this car has been seen..?

i am sure the owner would prefer it if you just deleted the locations... smile

I agree. I specifically didn't mention the location (and checked that you can't tell from the pics) - smudged the plate as well. Gents - you may want to edit your posts to remove the location.

Is it anything special or just a flatnose kit with a couple of RUF badges and the mirrors from a 1992 964? I don't know the answer but do know that it doesn't float my boat at all...

The same as any other Porsche that has any non original kit on it (a large percentage)??

Point I was making is that no way would RUF stick '92 mirrors on an impact car - even had they converted that car some (eg) 7 years after it was first created...which makes me wonder what pedigree the car has

Don't Ruf flatten the rain gutters off all of their conversions...?

No. AFAIK. I don't even think all yellowbird/conversions necessarily had this done as standard - I'm sure Adam T will be along soon to give us the definitive answer

No, it's not compulsory. Flatnose not my cup of tea but each to their own.

I believe they do if its a full "sent to .de" conversion.

although I imagine you could have taken that to, say, Glenvargill and had the Ruf conversion done in UK and mabe they didnt delete the rain gutters?

OK guy's sorry, I've removed the town name. I actually saw the car in a different place to the picture. Ealing is a big place but I guess if crooks are reading this forum and fancy I RUF then they could walk every street to find it.
Point taken so in future I shall change names to protect the innocent or should that be beautiful in this case?
