As i have said on this forum and been blasted for it..the 996tt(not sure the x50 makes a huge difference)is an awesome car with no road going peers from a performance point of view.I found the x50 a bit laggy when i drove one and my dms chipped standard tt far better(and quicker).Imo the only problem with the 996tt is the fact its a 996 model..and not close to the 993 or 997 models lookswise. Now get that x50 down to Andover and get it really flyingthumbup

When you get the turbos nice and hot it goes quick enough and you also don't have to be concerned about warranty claims with a standard car x50

Totally agree with above, tune a standard TT and you get access to more power quicker (& Cheapersmile)

Just got a 996TT S having had a 996 C4S previously. OMG! What an awesome car. Probably helped buy a DMS remap as well!! Always thought the C4S was quick, but this is ridiculous. If this bl**dy rain stops I might get a chance to really give it some stick.
