Fed up with clouting the front of your Carrera GT?
Ruf provide the answer for speed bumps
If you keep scraping the front of your Porsche Carrera GT on speed bumps and driveways then Ruf Automobile may be able to help.
They’ve developed a hydraulic height adjustable front suspension system for the German supercar that allows the front bumper to be raised by two inches up to speeds of 40 mph.
At the press of a button, two hydraulic lift cylinders hoist the front of the car while a check light shows that the suspension is in the highest position.
The front suspension can be lowered by pressing a switch or is lowered automatically at an adjustable speed between 20 to 40 mph.
The price including assembly is Euro 14,800.00 (plus VAT).

Interesting proposition... Have to say that that red fan is ridiculous though!dandarez said:
How many new splitters could you buy for that? 45.45
Euros equates to a little under 10 grand!
Ah well, never a truer saying,
'more money than...'
I'm amazed there is much demand for this feature, I got stuck in a street with massive speed bumps the other day and had to execute a three point turn (well 23 point turn) and I only grazed the black plastic splitter once. Providing you 'tack' when going over speed bumps etc. there's not much problem. I have more trouble with the GT3.Euros equates to a little under 10 grand!

Quite agree. I've scraped the splitter and the brake cooling ducts the odd time, and quite mildly, which causes no real damage at all, but obviously try to avoid steep ramps and speed bumps - but if there is no choice, the tacking approach really does work.A lot of money and probably weight for something I can't really see the need for.
Kind regards
Steve
