Litronics - Bi-Xenon

I have a 2002 996TT with Litronics of course.
Just wondered if these are bi-xenon, I don't think they are.
I thought bi-xenon was when the dipped and high beam were xenon lights. Is that right?
Well my high beam is a regular H7 bulb.
Do 997s have bi-xenon?
How does a high beam xenon lamp work anyway? You normally get a flash as the gas in the bulb ignites, so if you are just flashing your high beam to acknowledge someone, the gas would not get chance to ignite properly would it? Confused
