OPC 111 point check & Warranty question
Discussion
I am doing some 'homework' on a potential purchase.
If a car does not have a 100% full OPC service history, can the OPC Warranty still be applied if it passes an OPC 111 point check?
The car in question is a 996, 3yrs old/30k miles... it had a 12k service at an OPC, then a 24k service at a Porsche specialist (performed at 21k).
I am not sure as to how the trade values a relatively young car without a full OPC history...I am guessing at 10% less?

If it passes then yes, previous missing istory is disounted. I seem to recall someone bought the ex Gumball GT2 and got it warrantied despite having been serviced intermittently and been filmed doing 207 mph in Africa (allegedly

Good question.
HENRY?
I'd guess that on OPC would whistle through their teeth as they anally reamed you. Then they'd sell it for the same amount as a fully historied one
I'd be very wary. It's due a third year service, and who the hell buys a new car and then doesn't service it properly!!!! Hardly their pride and joy, was it???
Beware.

Its hardly 'due' a service, its 6k away from needing one.
And where does it state it hasnt been serviced properly? or are you suggesting that an independant is likely to treat the car worse than an OPC (extremkely unlikely)

Surely?

OP stated 'the car is three years old'
It's therefore missing a service , so either the service was missed by accident , poor show by the owner , or the owner's moving it on cos he doesn't want the expense of the overdue service. Fine . Except , you have to then ask what else he may have skimped on. Suvi's on the ball I reckon.

It needs a service in 6k not imminently

Cheers for the comments. Still trying to get an idea on how the trade values such non-OPC historied cars.
It is a trader who is attempting to sell it....he/she tried to sell it to an OPC who refused due to the 24k 'specialist service'.
An OPC wouldn't normally retail the car due to the indy stamp but, should be able to get the warranty (subject to 111 point check) due to the 'block exemption' rule??It is a trader who is attempting to sell it....he/she tried to sell it to an OPC who refused due to the 24k 'specialist service'.
