Morning all!

I am looking at getting an all singing Clarion Head Unit (one of those one with a flip up screen) with a Sat Nav unit fitted into my 996 911.

The seller has informed me that he is getting rid of his kit because the car he is putting it into needs a double din radio and therefore will have to be replaced with an aftermarket double din stereo.

Is this going to cause me any issues? TBH I am not really sure what double din means an have no idea what kind of kit will go into my 911!

Cheers!

DIN is a standard that specifies how tall a radio unit is. A Double DIN unit will be twice the height of a single DIN. A single DIN is the rectangular letterbox shape we know and love.

Assuming your car is a 996 or earlier a pop-out single DIN should work just fine I'd have thought.
