I am considering buying a late 996 or early 997 as a daily driver. I need to be able to find a child seat suitable for my 12 month old which will fit in the rear seat. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I would be able to find such a seat as I need to make sure I can get one before making a purchase?

Thanks very much for your help

Did the seats need isofix points or did it work off the seat belts?

Also which Maxicosi seat did you use?

I've used a britax trio , uses the seat belt , and fits the back seat perfectly and is cheap as chips (compared to the porsche seat that is).

It also passe 'the missus' test , no easy task let me tell you!!

I've just bought a Recaro Start seat, which is recommended on a couple of US 911 forums - looks good, is very safe and is suitable for nippers from 9 months to 12 years.

And has built in speakers cool

porsche junior is what i got in the end, designed for the car, but probably a rebadged britax !...like a lot of the seats though it doesn't support a 5 year olds head when nodding off though !

sjr997, I am considering the same. What does "......designed for the car..." mean physically compared to the Britax trio please?

the plastic base of the seat is the right width for the seat gap. take the leather seat out of the back, its just a velcro'd plastic base, give it a gentle pull and it'll come out....otherwise, like me you will mark the leather slightly and leave an indent that won't come out easily. the seat then just sits on the carpet. the seat is very well made (like any porsche product) and won't look bad in the back :-) as well as keeping him/her safe. i think it was about £300 or so from memory.
