I have noticed a noise at the back of the car last weekend when steering the wheel get louder and louder every seconds.
I called Porsche and they told me to add some Pentosin power steering liquid.
I checked the reservoir it was empty. After adding the liquid the noise goes away but not for long as the pentosin reservoir gets empty after 2 miles of driving.
I have obviously a leak. I comes from the front of the car (front right side of the car, behind the wheel.
Any idea what the problem is?
How can I stop the leak temporary so I can get to a garage?
Any idea how I can get to the garage without killing the pump?

Thanks for the help

Steering rack - or a pipe going to it.

How long can I drive without killing the pump? The car makes a very very loud noise when out of power steering liquid.

Did they say what was wrong with your rack? Was that £1000 plus they keep your old rack? Or did you get your old rack back?

I think they mentionned the rack seal...

They charged me 3 hours of labour, they kept the old one and gave me a refurbished one for that price.
