Got the forms from Porsche through yesterday.

Im not too sure who posted the other day about advance orders for a Gt2, but I remember them saying Porsche were asking for £15k up front. They arent. Porsche are doing their now standard £10k and this time they sent through a genuine order form first up and an envelope to send it all back in, not just a letter telling you about what was needed/expected, like they did for the TT last yr. They also said spec would be announced shortly, but my impression was that the ordering situation was first come, first served and they werent dicking about with any filtering this time. There was certainly no questionaire rubbish like last time.

Genuine Porsche order forms for a car not announced yet - wow, that's brave!

I guess they were generic forms not GT2 specific?

Some guys have all the luck!
My official deposit was £15k.
You want to make sure that your deposit has been taken for an MY '08 car [don't think so, as only 20 coming to UK] or MY '09, again only 20 cars coming so far.

I was also quoted £15K & told max 40 to UK, cannot make up my mind as GT3 excellent & what will final cost be, £150K so am on borderline, £60K on top of GT3 it would have to be out of this world to justify!

Should have added for 997 GT2, £150K might be OK if Jessica Rabbit included!

I've placed mine on order. I'd want a build slot before handing over £15K though. It's earning far to much at HSBC at the mo

That would have been me, following a telephone conversation with someone who has a UK GT2 coming. He's a regular Porsche customer so I'd be surprised if he was being ripped off depositwise.

Interesting, £15k to some, £10k to others!

Er how about the order forms/lack of questions/filtering? Did you others just get the straight order form without all the filtering a la Turbo, or did you get that also?

Im always very suspicious of things being "different" to the norm! It comes from being a ginger smile
