Pulled out of Charing Cross Hospital this morning into the filling station opposite and nearly crashed the car. I just couldn't get out of it quick enough.
We all love 911's, but how many 959's have you ever seen on the road. Yup, parked at pump 2 was a K reg silver 959.

I had a brief exchange of words with the owner,

Stuttgartmetal :You've got your money out for that one.
Owner : They're not that dear, its the maintenance thats dear.
Stuttgartmetal: You're not Flemke are you ?
Owner : Eh ?

Whoever you are buddy, nice car.

'K' reg???

That's circa. 1993, isn't it?

I thought that production of 959's finished around 1990 - was it a 964/993 with a bodykit???

(Or a VERY late production model)

shout Paging Mr Flemke. Your thread has arrived.

hehe

That filler looks to be in the right place behind the door. Looks genuine to me.

I doubt if Flemke will own up to it, I saw him.
Also this was no kit.
Oil access both sides I believe, and bonnet filler.
Correct trim, and dash, alloys etc.
Also the guy that owned it wasn't the kit car,or fake rolex kinda guy.
He didn't want to hang around talking to some punter on a petrol station forecourt, he was off.
I had to blink twice when he said it wasn't that dear, I was dumbstuck.
Against a Ruf I suppose it isn't.

How much of a crack must it be taking it out.
Reactions as far apart as mine, blown away, and not enough time to take it all in, to " look at the ugly kit on that 964/993, what a waste."
It looked very clean, and not "got at" at all.
Very straight indeed, looked exactly like a 959 should.

The standard model has a filler cap on both rear wings; one for the engine oil and one for the hydraulic fluid for the height-adjustable damper system.

If you read some of the Porsche mags you might have seen a few articles over the years about a (semi-public) guy in that part of the world who owns a silver one.

They were made in '87/8.
