Hi,

Really silly question, but how do the headlamp washers work on a 996.

I can't see an external jet so i'm presuming they spray inside the lens - is this correct?

Thanks

The oval shaped metal thing on the headlight (presuming you have litronics) is the washer. To get it to work you must have your headlights on and then push the wiper stalk away from you. Up pops the metal thing, cleaning the headlight and squirting the legs of anyone walking by in the process.

Washers look good when spraying water, but are practically useless at cleaning dirty lenses.

Useful for spraying your mates trousers when stood by the car, and you want to act the fool. jester

Or for accidently squirting through the open window of a TVR into the lady passengers face while waiting at Boulogne for the ferry home.

An honest accident and I did apologise quite profusely
