993 fast air cooling fan is stuck on - how do i stop?

I have a problem with my air cooling fan in the engine bay. Its currently stuck on the fast speed and I have to disconnect the power to stop it running my battery flat. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix? (I have a 993 C2 1994)

IIRC there is a relay that can be checked in the fuse box. It could be that it has stuck.

Or the switch could be knackered, traditionally these are mounted into the radiator, but i dont know 996's at all so it could be something wierd.

If it's there, it will be a 2 or 3 prong electrical connector attaching into the rad, pull the elec plug off and the thing with the pins is the switch.
The fans should stop when you pull the plug off. If they do stop its the switch.
