Long tailbacks out of Newbury tonight caused by a crashed porsche under the M4 bridge. It was a shiney black porsche 911 shaped missing it's rear bumper and it's rear end wedged into the left hand lane barrier with it's nose about 45 degrees out into the traffic.

I hope it's not but it had all the impression of someone going a little fast around that roundabout.

Well hope driver survived, last night up here in Aberdeenshire, out on my bycicle for evening run, came across tail back of cars on back road, in the field was a Porsche Boxster, todays paper said the 20 year old driver had died at the scene, no other vehicles involved.

Twas on abend in the road, and perhaps he lost it, dont know for sure, bright sunny day, miles of viz. Skid marks shows he pulled to the right, hit a small bank, rolled and finished up about 10 mtrs in the field.

Motorists are now saying the road is dangerous?

Latest, he was 29, still very sad though.

But heres a question, when you see skid marks, one end seems to have very black distinguisee marks, the othe end is kind of faded, so pleae dear readers tell me, which end is the START of the skid, the bold black mark or the faded bit?

In a field I suspect any roll over protection on any convertible would have just sunken into the grass. Especially with the rain of late... frown
