Boxster - what year was latest face lift introduced?

[GingaNinga]

Got a mate looking at buying a used Boxster so I'd like to know when the current version came out (i.e. buying the facelifted one).
Thanks. J.

987 came out model year 2005 and engines have just been upgraded to the same as the Cayman ones (model year 2007)

the 986 was facelifted in 2003 - you can spot it as it has a glovebox and a glass rear window.

in 2005 they released the 987 - a whole new car..

Pefect, thanks!
