Looks stunning but after 2 years of driving the mileage will be close to 100k which for me makes the car practically impossible to sell if the buyer wished to do so and not being able to put an OPC warranty on it as it creeps nearer to the 9 year cut-off is also a worry and may explain why the earlier models are following CL AMG prices. All IMO of course.

Blimey on the face of it that looks like fabulous VFM. That has to be hurting C4S prices surely.

Great car, great price, if the condition and SH are good its a raging buy (if I hadnt bought one two weeks ago). Who cares about the milage at £35k a good part of the depreciation is done and the bullet proof engine compared to the N/A 996's helps.

Who cares about the mileage?

See what its worth in 2-3 years unwarrantable with over 100k miles on the clock - Great looking car but lets not all kid ourselfs with the fact that a cars mileage does matter.

Sorry to p1ss onthe party but that is in no way good value for money. Just last month there were two 996 turbos advertised on PH. An '00 and '01 asking 38-39k with 45-55k on the clock. That's asking price. Although I think the one asking £38,995 was a 'tip. All good colours too.

One of those had a red and grey striped interior with obscence amounts of wood veneer. It was on at £38 for a couple of weeks then went back up to £40k, then was taken off before i had chance to buy.

The second was lapis and grey (not everyones fav but i liked it), It wasnt moving so the price was reduced I asked about it on here to see if anyone knew the car and within a couple of days a PHer had bought it, Brin i think. Any TT RHD in good condition under £40 is a good buy at the moment, and a black one is going to prove more popular than most. The car is current on flea bay at £30k, a real bargin if it goes for its buy it now £38k its still pretty good.

I've been tracking prices over the last 6 months at the low end of the range and there are just not many cars that get under £40k

Depends on your point of view. I will run mine for 5 years and if it goes to zero it goes to zero, its a car not an investment and its the most reliable way to get into a top marque supercar. 5 times the £900 warranty price will pay for lots of bits and pieces at indies and the engine may go but, from all the feedback its far less likely than if I buy a normally aspirated one !

Surely it's got to still be worth £30k, if not £32k+, even at 10 yrs old with 100k miles on the clock. I don't think it'll be hard to shift for £30k... That's £8k depreciation for 3 years ownership of a turbo, which seems ok to me.

I don't think it's worth the 'buyitnow' price , but if someone gets it for £35k or less , and is only going to do around 7000 miles a year , they'll loose nathin over 2 years ... scratchchin

Take no notice of Glass's Guide as far as specialist cars are concerned they are usually well out.

so what about the mileage, its the condition you want to look out for and if its in good condition someone is getting themselves a bargain.
