I am currently looking to trade in the Cerbera for something more refined, comfortable and reliable. But also something I can still have tail out fun in, dry or wet.

I have seen one of these for sale and it looks pretty good for a Boxter.

Does anyone have one or know if they're a good buy or not?
Its a 2004 model with 24k miles, and is up for 29k quid. Too much?

Any info/advice appreciated.

Thanks

£2-3K too much. Mate of mine sold his recently for £27500 and it was a complete minter.

But with it being a 'trade' sale, isn't that about right?

And how did he find it? Why did he sell?

Have a look at how much you`d have to give for a 3.2 engine 987 (the current model Boxster). A 987 at £30k looks a lot better value to me than a 986 at £29k.

Have you looked through the classifieds?
If you can find a 2004/5 Boxter S with similar milage and black leather for the money you are talking about, you're a better man than I. smile

[s]oops, quoted wrong person...

I have a 550 Spyder and I'm glad they are still demanding a premium however I think that price is a little on the high side (not as much as others have quoted, I would say it is about 2k too high at most depending on condition). Great car though and if the supply of decent Boxsters is really that bad I would snap it up.

we sold ours privately 6 weeks ago £27,400 although it had sat nav telephone and bose,i can tell you there was plenty of interest with 2 trade bids of £25,000 over the phone....I THINK THEY ARE REALLY GOOD VALUE.the 550 is worth the extra not just for the toys and paint but for the extra power and sure footed grip with the suspension and tracking mods, although the reason we sold was that the difference between that and a newer 987 was getting increasingly smaller, and the future residuals of ALL porsches worries me with the ammounts that are now being produced..as somebody said on a different topic...stack em high and sell em exphensive,...that is until it comes to trade in time, when i,m convinced it will be a case of,..yes,lovely car but we,ve got 7 in stock alrewady sir! punch
