good resale options are
full electric seats (bolster adjust and heated etc)

coloured wheels centres (cheap as chips)
chrono is pants (never use mine and in sport setting always think i am going to bounce off the road)
sports exhaust (not got one as i do about £2k miles a month so need some comfort but heard one and it sounded great)
Phone (not great and soem what clumpsy to keep swapping sim cards)
other options that are nice to have

cruise
best option of all
Turbo ! (one day

)Thanks for that info - I previously had a 2002 996 turbo which was just sublime and when the time came to sell it went immediately . A friend had the same without PCM and really struggled to shift it hence me query re the 997 . As ever your input has been much appreciated - thanks Barry
hmmm not sure now if the sat nav was std (I cant find any of the orginal paper work) i may have told my wife it was std to justify the expense and told her that lie so many times that even i belive it now)
I dont think i would buy a 997 s new again - so many great 2nd hand buys about
cheers

Did sat nav com as standard in a 2005 997 Carrera S ? If not how much does it effect the resale of the car without it . Thanks again - Barry
Sat nav was definitely not standard when the cars were new. I did not order it because a Tom-Tom is heaps better than any Porsche unit.I lost £16k on my car in 2 years and 20k miles which is less than many cars with loads better equipment.
So I would say that sat-nav may help you to sell your car quicker but won't affect it in terms of residuals. It costs less and you sell it for less, it is not rocket science

Is the Sat Nav really worth it when a Tom Tom One Europe will probably do a beter job for £180 and you can take it with you?
not really although it is the first option everyone asks about and wants, presumably as, like me, I would rather lose a little functioonality to have an integrated satnav without wires trailing all over the dashGassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
