Before I lean on it and snap it off is it possible to move the wing mirror in on drivers side to avoid numptys from banging into it? A C2 996 by the way.

Yes, you can fold the mirror in manually. It hinges ever so slightly upwards. Give it a firm push with the flat of your hand.

If it does fall off in your hands I was wrong, (only joking you`ll be fine).

Yep give it a shove, dont be scared to push quite hard, its quite tightly sprung.

Funny, its the only thing I miss about the Scooby Sti I had a few years ago - that had a button on the dash to flip the mirrors in.

doing that just means a car getting too close will hit your door/wing instead. Better to get a mirror damaged than the main bodywork smile

Thanks one and all, have to park in a known trouble spot so will give it a go. Fair point about mirror damage over wing. Food for thought but will pray I can park between two cars sticking out more than me!
