Spoil or Spoiler?
Discussion
Its that time, i cannot work out whether to change the image slightly to my 97 993 C4S or sell and upgrade............or even down grade and bank some dosh! its all bloody confusing and i'm sure you've all been there.
Anyway, what are your valid opinions to removing the standard spoiler on a 993 C4S and fitting the 993TT spoiler??
Also got chance of buying an OEM TT spoiler from the States, are they all interchangable?
Opinions please guys/girls.

To my eye , your car has got just about the best lines ever seen on a 911.The turbo spoiler is big and lumpy , and had to be to encompass the intercooler. So it serves a purpace on the turbo. I feel sure if the technology existed at the time to make the spoiler more streamlined (along the lines of the 996tt spoiler) , Porsche would have gone this route.
What I'm trying to say is , (imo) the turbo spoiler is an abomination , albeit a necessary one on the turbo ... You on the other hand have no need to dress you car down in such a manner

Why are you asking?
Excuse the quick copy and paste from your profile, but:
"My dream 911 end of story.
The last of the air-cooled cars
Best looking without a doubt and you can't beat a big Arse look of Jennifer Lopez.
OK so they are expensive the widebodies but they look stunning IMO"
You know you shouldn't. So don't.

Totally understandable!
I'm in the process of looking for my next 911 , and my impatience is all but overwhelming .. I've come very close to buying the 'wrong' car in the last few weeks in my haste to get behind the wheel again .. I think any of the enthusiasts on line here are the same as you and me ... not enough money to buy the whole range of the most desirable 911's
so we spend our days forgetting that what we have is so special , and staring at our opposite numbers car wishing we had that one too!!
We're doomed to roam the earth in a constant state of wanting it all!

I think once you have the fuel in yer veins its there to stay, i've just had the daily machine "A4 S LINE" the type with the smokey noisy engine variant, (don't think we mention diesel..oops sorry on the Pork forum) chipped to about 190-195 BHP, tell you what its bloody fantastic and as much torque as you need!!
Anyway Ballcock what 911 is your preference?, i'm still thinking along the 996TT lines. There is a nice RFG one with Savannah at Finley Goram, i know its not the most popular combination but i thought it looked great and good value at 35k, just the future values of these machines that worry me a bit.
You prob know I've just sold my rfg/sav 996 , and I still feel it's a great combo (if slightly left of the norm- no bad thing).
I think it looks especially good on the TT with the side vents and angry nose etc. It's a very understated colour , but I was never one for wanting everyone to know I'd arrived anyway
I have to say I received many compliments along the lines of 'I've never seen a 911 in those colours before but it really works well' etc.
You'll get the 'fashionista sheep' here telling you that its'
, but in the end , you've only got yourself to please.
Do be aware that you'll probably sell it that bit cheaper so drive a hard bargain if buying..
