the 911 virgin website looks like it has some well looked after motors. Not sure how the prices compare to other sources though

Hmmm, this one's been discussed before.

In short, the proprieter is an anchorman spelt with a silent W.

Avoid.

Henry at 911 virgin is cheap, but do a search on the Porsche forum for more commentary, as Greg has suggested.

Once you know what Porsche you want, or what your budget it, mosey on over to the Porker forum as the knowledge is a lot more specialist.

If you know what car you want and what you're looking at, 911 Virgin might be worth a look. Don't expect niceties and don't expect mollycoddling. He is, as has been said, an Crown and Anchor, but then if you can't find what you want privately (or through the PCGB - don't they stillput prospective owners in touch with sellers?) then they're worth a look.

EDIT: Try and deal with his wife if she's around, she's much less condescending.
However I suspect you're quite used to dealing with awkward types with the job you do.

Theres a place in Alderley Edge that usually has a good selection of 911's in. I came SOOOOooo close to buying a 1989 3.2 convertible, absolutely immaculate with 65K, FPSH for £16K...but a series of events scuppered that. Gutted.
