I've had my 996TT 3 months now and still love it every bit as much as when I first got it.

I've covered 6000 miles in it and so far the only problem I've had was a rattling windscreen seal which was kindly fixed for free by a top block at RAC Autoglass in Middelsbrough.

I've had to buy a set of tyres though so will be keeping an eye on how often I get through those.

It's used very little oil (compared to some I've read about on here). Less than a litre over the course of the 6000 miles. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough?

Anyway, just thought I'd share. To anyone thinking of buying a 996TT - go for it. You will not regret it. Such an amazing car.

I agree 100%, they're made to be driven, I'm on about 20k miles in 2 years. Last week was the 5th time on the N85.

I have had mine now for 18 months, it makes me smile every time I use it, which is not often enough.

Ah a fellow Smoggy, byebye well done on the purchase.

Looking at replacement for my C2 in the coming months, TT seems the way to go.

Yeah the 996TT is a great car, really good for the track (I have a few customers with them, lovely to drive) and also good for trips around Europe.

That is a nice pic, where abouts is it?

Definitely a great car, but "really good for the track" that slightly suprises me, they are ok on the strights though wink

Well under 8mins round the Nurburgring and only a few seconds adrift of the track focused GT3, not too shabby for what is pretty much 100% a road car.

yep loving mine too but a bit soft for the track... great for UK roads though.

We have another car for the track but hankering after a GT2 at the moment(today)

Well, saying that the customers have had their cars setup for track use, so they should handle well! I have not driven a standard one, but it can't be too bad?

Yeah the GT2 is also a nice car, especially the 997 GT2, which is out later this year? S1, what car do you use on track?

I needed to read a positive thread on TT ownership....thanks!

I've had mine for about 6 weeks now. I have to say that having had to have a new clutch and a major service early (due to plugs needing changing) and a hood recalibration (fault fixed to you and me, but recalibration to OPC to avoid it being cover by the warranty!) the smile has disappeared from my face.

Hay ho.... I guess having run a C4S for a year and had next to no bills, my expectations were high.

I'm sure that once my wallet recovers I will start to smile again!

Still the best and quickest road car around (IMHO)!

Had mine for over five years now. No intention of changing in the near future. Superb road cars.

I have had mine for over 3 years now and enjoy it as much now as I did on day 1.
3 years and not a single fault, its only seen the inside of an OPC for servicing.

For me its perfect, supercar quick, a pussycat when the kids are in the back, & I can use it every day & not worry about putting miles on it or it breaking.

no its not so bad, just a bit soft compared to previous car so probably seems worse to me but I am on standard suspension at the moment.

We have a Clio trophy for the track which is great fun but will shortly be looking to get a Radical or R400 or JP1 or similar.

at Donington this weekend spin hoping the weather holds

I'm resisting the temptation to mod for as long as I can. Bank balance needs to recover from the hammering in buying it biggrin
