I'm after a favour from a 964 owner with orange indicators!

My 964 has the white indicators and side repeaters fitted, which I used to like but frankly i want to go back to orange ones, so I dug out my old orange ones and found they had been splattered with paint stripper GRRRR. Paint stripper seems to have the same effect on plastic as it does on paint and now they are fit only for the bin or as emergency spares.

Considering how expensive the white ones are (£60-100) and how undesirable the orange ones are (£5-10 on ebay) I wondered if any 964 owners want to do a bit of a swap involving a bit but not much money. Basically might help two pistonheaders out!

Oli, I have some surplus to requirements.

Boxed complete with the clear indicator bulbs and the square orange side repeaters.

But I'm not a 964 owner so I guess you won't want them biggrin

Oli,
I agree the retro/original look is back!
But I don't think they go that cheap on ebay any more. I paid around £30 for a pristine set. I've gone back to orange on my 965. Looks great against the black paint.
PS: I have a full white set if anyone wants them, swap for the orange small wing repeaters....

Lol I would love them Leigh.

Need any bits to do a swap for? Know you already have the white lenses.

Not needing anything at the moment thanks but you're welcome to them. Call in next time you're local, or I can always post them to you.

If you don't need the side repeaters then 911adict is in luck wink

Typical - I just sold my spare set of orange, and have now bought a cup car which has a cracked one!

Yuk! I hate the orange indicator look. I think it really dates the car. Each to their own!

ukwill,
Funny isn't it. I put clear on mine last year and loved them. This year I wanted some colour, so back to orange. Next year... smoked black look?

By the way, does anyone know where to buy the orange side indicators? All the usual specialists describe them as yellow - or are they the same?

I would like the side repeaters if 911 addict doesn't mind, mainly because most of mine have lost the retaining clip, but 911 addict if your desperate then your welcome to a pair of oranges with no retaining clip?

Where do you live again leigh?

Ian which one is cracked? of my 4 orange indicators only one is really badly pitted, the others would come back with polishing i reckon. Welcome to them if any use.

Next thing there'll be an outcry from 964 owners wanting to trade their teardrop mirrors in for the retro-square design laugh

On the subject of which, I have a lovely set of red square mirrors that I will swap for a pair of teardrops and, oh, say £100. PM me if you're interested... wink

911 addict - I've got the orange side indicators at home. They're left over from when i changed to clear lights ones all round. Unfortunatley one of my white lights is now broken so was looking to replace. if you're still up for swapping please PM me - thanks!

Try euro car parts....the original square ones were a vw part..same as a mkII Golf I think.
Aceparts do a nice looking oval pair for about a tenner.

Always thought orange ones looked better with certain colours as well.
