M@H,
just wondering if you could let me know anywhere that i might find a car similar to this? google hasn't been much joy, and the usual used car sites have drawn a blank.

Best Regards,
Mike

I think they're quite cool actually. Would look good in black too. How do these handle compared to modern 911 / boxter stuff? Can the handling / brakes be brought up to modern standards?

Think I read somewhere of one of these with a massive v8 in it, pushing huge bhp.

i think these are super-cool, and i know they are pretty cheap. they are very rare, however, but at the right price, i'd love one.

additionally, they are one of only a handful of cars that look good in white, IMO.

I love 914s but they are one of the few cars that make early 911s look rust-resistant. The four cylinder cars are very cheap indeed - 3 or 4 grand seems top money for one but are not quick by any standards. Original 914-6's are twice the price (at least) and have reasonable performance. However most 914-6's have been "upgraded" with larger engines say a 2.4T and start becoming very quick indeed. Well set up a 914-6 is a very potent weapon and it is not unheard of for them to see off many, newer 911s.

Would have been good to keep it looking bog standard tho, street sleeper style. Looks nippy enough I guess. I wonder if a TT engine would fit in a 914......
