993 Turbo sports exhaust
Discussion
Does any fellow 993 Turbo owners have a sports exhaust fitted? I'm looking for a bit more flat six audio, a bit more power would also be a bonus. I was looking at G-Force Motorsports website which looked interesting. Any experience & advice would be welcome.

Chris,
I whacked a CarGraphic full system on mine two and a bit years ago c/o Tech9.
It was claimed to add 22 bhp (who the hell knows?) but all I wanted was something fit to lace the boots (sonically speaking) of my recently departed and decatted Cerbera.
It made a helluva difference to the noise but if it had any impact viz a vis the speedier dispatching of cocky badgers, then I was none the wiser.
At the end of the day, though, there is a limited 'audio envelope' with the TTs - you need an RS or GT3 for the full 'Cup' experience - the Turbowaffen are merely the pinnacle of arch-annexing.
And the faster you can achieve this, whilst maintaining the grip/handling balance, is the key to unlocking the fat beetle's central raison d'etre. The slipstream will be your only noise!

I had a full system - Techart 100 cell sports cats and Tubi sports silencers - fitted to my 993TT about a year ago for much the same reason as DeR (previous car was a TVR). The new system sounds great, almost musical, and the turbos definately spin up at lower RPM than before giving a feeling of a slight impovement in performance. Apprantly the system is good for 25-30ish BHP but I can't confirm this.
