Have a turbo thats covered circa 5000 miles over 5 months (i.e since new). Haven't used it an awful lot in last 6 weeks circa 5-600 miles and its gone through a litre of oil. (Mobil 1) Is that too much chaps or within tolerences??

I have topped mine up twice in one year (i.e. app. 500ml each time). Lately, over the last 3000 miles it has not used any oil. Check the oil-level regularly (ideally after each visit to the petrolstation whilst the engine is hot) and top up if necessary, but do not overfill. I would guess that your consumption is probably within reason.

Its normal..as the miles build and the engine beds in around 10k it will improve, buts its still well within so dont worry. My 2s 997 went through it a bit but once I thrashed it for a few 100 miles on the autobahn it seemed to improve..its no big deal guys.

I love having to pour oil in. You get the warm and fuzzy feeling only gained by a little fettling PLUS you know that's another 400ccs of wonderful fresh slippery stuff caressing its insides smile

Having said that, the GT2 doesn't use as much as the turbo. Probably because it's harder (for me) to drive it hard.
