not mine......

Keep chewing over whether to change to the new 997TT cab, but just can't
justify the >£55k to change, mine goes like utter stink thanks to a simple re-map,
so i'd end up changing just for a facelift reasons really...

The price for this black one looks about right, i have been approached by a couple
of brokers that were after mine, as they said there aren't many around....

I know 911 Cabs get a bad wrap, but they're great alrounders, mega quick and sure footed, with good practicality thrown in, just need to sort the exhaust out, and maybe put some 997TT wheels on it....????

Off to the Alps in mine this weekend..smile

Glenn, do you think thats the right money for a car with 48k miles or 24k? I see elms has a nice one for less so maybe this is to much money for a private car. Im sure it is if it does have 48k and not 24k.

Nah, wouldn't touch it at that price for those miles IMO....

very misleading then - X50 adds to the value by £2k imo, DMS remap adds nothing (puts off as many as it attracts) though not knocking them at all

But its not an x50 power upgrade plus, its a remap so doesn't have the uprated turbos, gearbox oil cooling and is worth about 700 quid? Rather than multiple thousands. Could he change it to X50 power upgrade - instead? wink

As to the warranty and remap, the answer is no if they find out. Will they find out? Who knows...

Yeah i did point out the reasons to him as to why its not an x50 with even more power. He said that he didnt want to advertise it as a remap even though thats exactly what the car is. I'd rather just have standard car X50 or not.

I'd steer clear, an X50 upgrade was about £8-9k,, for someone to suggest it had such and then revert to it only being a re-map...I wouldn't want to get involved in playing games when spending this sum of £££...there will be other cars with more straightforward representation...good luck (you'll surely miss the Gt3).

But you know what CS..... The gt3 has been sitting in the city in a underground car park for the last 3 maybe 4 weeks(scooter has been there almost 2 months now but thats another story). Id have the turbo at home sitting on my drive and not worried about my g/f driving it. Ill say now that ill miss the drive of the GT3 but the problem is i havent driven it enough!

Shame.....

A track day will cure that. Before you get shot, get booked one this weekend and you'll hang on to it!

I agree with you 100% but its too much money for me to have as a track car as its not getting used daily. When i have been on track with her im in love but after that she goes back to her compound and she looks very sad down there amongst the luxury cars. Im sure they all gang up on her when im gone.

Anyway the deal is done, she goes tomorrow!

Im looking to move to somewhere with garages then ill bring back a full time track beast!

In the mean time joining ecurie or p1 has even been thought about but i do enjoy having a fast car around all the time and not part of it.

Sold mine about 2 months back.

The prices do seem very steady and OPC cars even seem to have risen, I guess it must all be down to the fantastic weather we're having.

Anyhow superb cars and in my opinion much better than the TT coupe as an alrounder.

I very nearly kept mine and for what its worth £65k for a 996 against £110 for the 997 is a no brainer

thanks VG, tbh im not considering the 997 cab its a 996 turbo coupe/cab or perhaps a GT2.

I think this one looks good for the right money as its had 3 owners.

What year did the pcm2 start on?

PCM2 was introduced for the 2003 (52) model year. the car you have highlighted has PCM2 but no heated seats (despite being a cab?)

moeny looks a bit strong. wouldnt a 53 coupe be retailing for 58/59k at an opc?
