I think I've figured out what I want/'need' and it's a 996. I went to 911 Virgin today and went out in a Y-plate C2 in Lapis Blue that was fantastic. The only issue is that that particular car starts at £28k and is £30k if you go for warranty and the serviced price.

This is a bit over my ideal budget so the question is, what do you think of earlier ones? They have an R-plate silver 996 thats nice but just didn't quite press the buttons and it even didn't feel as tight just sitting in it.

Do you think you can get a good 996 for £25k or is it worth waiting?

Spend the extra and get as late as you can- the warranty will not be available
