997 retro fit sat nav help
Discussion
I bought a retrofit kit from a Porsche specialist brand new for £440 and was quoted around 5hrs labour to fit at an OPC,so total cost under a grand however I sold the car(including the kit)before I had chance to have it fitted.I personally would not have bothered as the Porsche nav isnt that good but when I advertised the car the lack of sat nav put most people off.

I guess it depends on what you're comparing it to - was in a V8 Vantage for a while.... Porsche's is a million times better that the AM offering... IMHO and the PCM system is so much easier to use as a whole.dickyf said:
car is a 997s cab (2WD) and has the cd changer scree and phone but not the sat nav option. i assume its the dvd reader hardware, aerial and cabling that comes in the kit
Those bits and a couple of others - some optical cable to link it into the rest of the network and power cabling etc. It also needs the coding changing in the PCM, therefore Porsche diagnostic kit is required.Have you got Bose?
Where are you based?
