the owner might not be too pleased you're sharing this info on a public forum...

I never get the numberplate paranoia we all have them what is bad about talking about them? and yes I have had a car cloned but it was a dull one not the Porsche.
maby im missing somthing but the civilian employees of councels watching the CCTV from third world countries are probably more of a security risk than web chat.

cloning doesn't bother me but posting the make, model, reg and location of expensive cars on a public forum which is open to view by all does - which was the case with this thread

I'd agree with that...........not keen on general chat where someone should or shouldn't be!

I think consencus among car theves is that they can easely nick high value cars from petrol stations/pools/Gyms/hairdressers by using a little violence or by driving into posh areas and taking them at 4am on a sunday morning with the keys they liberated from burgling your house. without resorting to scanning PH for a mention of your numberplate.

Just an FYI but a frend had his car striped outside his house(when he was in) in barnes they even stole the alarm;-). the rub was that the OPC could not figure out how they did it so quick(I think the workshop manager would have hired them)
