Find a good one thats been looked after properly, and you'll be stunned at how much car you get for the money. One of the best value sports car available imo.
Good ones don't depreciate much either.Buy a cherished car, maintain it, and you'll lose very little (if any) when you sell it on.
There is a lot of crap for sale.
The 944 needs regular maintenance, and if its been neglected it can be £££'s to put right. When they are looked after it's a very reliable car-in 7 years of 944 ownership neither of mine ever let me down. (both were daily drivers btw.)
Hell, you even get a big boot- I had 4 wheels and tyres in the back of the S2 more than once!

I have one!
Bought it for £800 as an "off the roader" and put it back on the road which didn't require much.
I have a mk3 capri which I've done a rediculous amount of work too inc a 3.9 v8 and vowed never to get rid of it and keep it until I popped my clogs.
3 days after getting the 944 the capri was up for sale. . . . .
Its awesome!
Its a 2.5 lux with met black paint and 17 cup wheels and looks gorgeous!
I did look for a 944s (16v model) as I wanted more go but everything else I've looked at was rubbish in comparison to mine so I'm going to tart mine up with koni suspension and later porker brakes from Porschparts as well as a few other things.
I have also a 924 breaker with a mint black logo interior which will go into it too.
Lastly I want to get more power either by transplanting an ls1 v8 into it (there's a place in the states that does converion kits albeit for lhd cars) or by supercharging the present 2.5 4 pot, again there's a place in the states that does a bolt in kit.
No matter what you do get one with the major mechanicals in good condition and enjoy, they're awesome!!!

I would imagine it would plummit if you were to nail it everywhere!
The makers do claim that normal driveability is unchanged though and its still well behaved so normal driving should stay relatively the same, maybe a bit less as the engine still has to turn the blower over.
Cost works out at just under 3k and its from www.speedforceracing.com.
