I'm servicing my 993 after 5-6 k miles (also because it needs a coupel of other things seeing to).
Should I ask for an oil change (will it be done in the service anyway) ?

How often to you do yours ?

Is this one of the forever-young topics on PH ?

It would be a funny old service that diddnt include an oil change. Standard 12k- or yearly if you do less miles oil changes are fine for all but track day abused 993's.

Yeah, I'd imagine a 12k service would include an oil change of course.
I'm having a service after 5k mainly cos its coming up a year since I got it.

I guess I was asking if people think servicing and oil changing shoudl be done after set periods of time or milage.

An old chestnut I know...

It really depends on ya mileage, do roughly 12k pr yr just have it service as per the book, if you do few miles a yr say 6k its a good idea to have an oil change service yearly and then plugs etc a year later.

A wheel align at each yearly service on a 993 is something a lot of owners do, simply because out of alignmnet 993's are horrible to drive.
