Well we`re here !

Will try and post a few reports as the weekend pans out but please forgive if I struggle, quite a lot to sort out as you might imagine.

Car running well out of the bag, all the guys happy with the set up and now safely qualified. Didn`t worry too much about the ultimate times, more concerned with getting everyone back in one piece.

Loads of traffic as you might imagine as we all get released at the same time don`t want to put it in the gravel just yet.

Loads of high profile teams including a BMW piloted by none other than Clarkson, May, Hammond & the Stig. Filming it for a TV special by the look of things. If ever there was a bunch of drivers who hadn`t got a clue - like bunnies caught in the glare of headlights. It`ll make a great programme.

Weather is looking good for the weekend so if you fancy a run out pop over. Loads going on, we`re in garage 6A if you want to drop in and give us some love smile

Will try to post again soon.

Henry

Will try to

Nice one Henry. Sounds terrific. Would love to see pics. Can't wait to see the Top Gear Episode. Should be a classic.

How did you get a garden fence back in the 3 Tim?

Needed a bit more wing - fixed with a 6x6 feather edge panel.

Have a good one Henry!

Was there today, a rather cool day, with the Sports 2000 (quite hectic at times with Britsports(?) too.) and had a wonder up the pitlane. Saw you posing smile

Saw the start of the 24hr before leaving and it was thankfully less eventful than some of the other starts today and Friday!!!!

Henry,

I was there on Friday and noticed you cosying up to the BBC cameras - you looked very comfortable in the spotlight! How small was Hammond? I know he isn't as tall as Clarkson but he looked sooooo small in person.

I was with Jim Geddie's pit crew, supporting my mate Jim in the Porsche Open. He came fifth (not bad considering he only took up racing two years ago).

Weather was roasting and came home with a very red neck....

Well done on 7th in the final ordering. Not sure where you are in class as the EERC web site is pony.

So how did it go, and were the topgear guys as crap as the radio coverage suggested?

Looks like the BBC boys were 39th from around 60 runners, putting them 200 laps behind the winner.

Mind it looks like the winner was nearly 30 laps up on everyone else!

7th seems very respectable for Henry - like poster above would be interesting to know what classes were running.

Look forward to having Henry give us some insider info on this and what Hammond/May/Clarkson got upto.

Top job guys. I had the times and commentary running all day. It was good to see a couple of 996s putting on a good show. I'll catch you at Brands to talk about how well the car ran as I'm thinking of getting together with Zub, 935 (if I can convince him and/or he doesn't get a free drive somewhere) and a few others and entering my Cup car for next year's race. In the meantime I'll learn to drive it after the first outing in it on Friday/Saturday.

Note to self - using qualifying as your first test in a new car is slightly unwise, if rather fun eek

The very same. They also had at least one stig with them. Think May was lapping the slowest.

Pretty inspirational though. If those muppets can do it, any of us who do trackdays couldn't be any worse!

I would presume an International C is needed, as that is what you need for British GT/FIA GT3 and International B for FIA GT!

Nice to see a selection of Porsches, including a couple 964s and a couple 968s.

Went on Saturday night from about 8 to midnight - surreal, felt at times like I was the only one there, once you got beyond the pit straight/paddock areas all completely dark and empty

No, you just need a basic National B ( and a big wallet smile )
