Just wondered if anyone can vouch for this guy? He's based near Horley and runs a garage called (i think) Jocca Enginering.

I have a potential buyer who wants him to take the car away and inspect it - and I just wanted to check the guy out beforehand.

Cheers

Err I think you wouldn't want to let the car out of your sight. Take it to Jocca engineering and wait for the inspection.

Yeah, whatever did happen tot hat guy who posted somewhere on PH about him selling his P&J through a dealer who took the car away and then "disappeared..." with it? AParently the seller had "heard" that the car was sold but the garage disappeared and no cheque to the seller..? (or soemthing like that...)

I know of a lot of people that would recommend Paul Sage. However, I would not let my car out of my sight if I were selling it.

When I sold my last Porsche, a 1990 GR C2 manual, with cup ones, teardrops, rear cage etc, I had it up for £15k
Some pony outfit who rate themselves on here turned up, and wanted to take it away to put on their ramp etc etc, at 8am Saturday morning, leaving a jag behind.
I f cked them off and sold it first viewer at 9am.
One rule for all.
I don’t get to take cars away, why should they.

This. Don't let it out of your sight unless you know the inspecting outfit intimately.
