Hi,I've been recommended to see Howard Watts in Suffolk for a 993. Can't find much about the independent specialists. Anyone had dealings with him/ them?

Recommend?
Cheers
Steve

they are based near me in boxford.

i met howard for the 1st time at the weekend. a really nice guy who has been involved with the porsche brand for years

his workshops do not look anything special but his spanner man is ex opc of 24 years so i suspect they know what they are doing

despite the above, i have no 1st hand experience of their work.

I would be interested in any feeback on this guy. I am down the road in Sudbury so it would be easier to take my car here than any of the other specialists I have used in London / Birmingham etc.

im in sudbury too. not ever seen your car around frown

the best thing to do is go and chat to the guy. he has an infectious love of pork and will stand and talk to you for hours about the marque.

my car still has all the basic servicing done at an opc but i will try him for all non service stuff - heashields etc

I've known Howard Watts for a year now. I live in Boxford, unfortunately I don't own a Porsche, but I did buy a VW Phaeton from his garage. He has looked after the servicing and repairs for me and I must say he is a very nice genuine guy and as far as I know nobody has a bad word to say about him..

I live in Assington and have taken a couple of my cars to Howard in the past GT3, Turbo and Cayenne Turbo.

The work is solid and the premise is run by enthusiasts. The tea isn't too bad.

Howard has actually riden shotgun with me around Snetterton. That's service!

Howard has worked on my 993 and his guy definitely knows his way round aircooled cars as does Howard (couple of genuine original 930 Martini Turbos (black and white) in the place).

Not the quickest would be my only criticism but value for money and work done was great.

As soon as this epic exhumation appeared I checked the OP"s history....one post....this one....and drew the same conclusions. Free advert on PH?
