For most of my 6 months of Porsche ownership I have been looking for the next "C3".
The Noble has been near the top of the list for most of it, but in a drunken moment of clarity in the early hours of this morning I realised it has to be a 993TT

Reasons..
1)Can scare more of the kids in it at any one time.
2)Pistonfest...who were the last ppl keeping the bar open?
Porker drivers and Tony996 (AKA Michael Knight)
3)Know a better looking car?
Advice pls

I'd say sod it and get the GT2 being sold in the PH classifieds - 89k and only 3k on the clock.

Otherwise, yeah, 996tt is an amazing road car.

However, if you fancy a flutter and don't need practicality, that GT3-RS does it for me

Excellent news Gary.

Any pork with two turbos gets my vote.

Good call Gary....I agree about the 993 TT....gorgeous looking car, last of the air cooled icons..the 996TT may ultimately more capable but to my mind unfortunately loses something along the way.
Paul 944/68 has is a good man to catch up with,he had a 996 before his 993TT "S",also DER will have more than a few good words to say himself...I myself may well be rejoining the air cooled 993 fold in the next few hours.

edited;due to usual bad spelling!

Really.

May I suggest keeping the 968Cs as well, so as to compliment your stable.

Ignore my earlier post. Speed read it as 996tt. Doh.

993tt is great car, too, though

It is quite simply the perfect synthesis of most requisite stimulations bourne of a person with petroleum coursing rapidly through their veins.

And the bigger, faster and harder the hit, the better.

550-600 horsepower will have to wait but having given homage in the chariot of one of these sometime six-centuried stellar beetles, I can assure you, that quite unlike Oasis which indupitably misses by a mile, bugger all comes anywhere near for beserk, mid-range scnelloffenfrappenze.

Hail.

The black one in the advert looks awesome however I assume that you need an Aventura Green one so that Mrs "C3 GTK" doesn't notice the difference

It does look good thanks Mark
Just got home from taking Mrs C3 out for a romantic meal
Broached the subject by saying I was thinking of getting a TT
She accused me of hanging around hairdressers too much to beging with I explained it was a 993 not an Audi
Anyway got the green light although all this propaganda for the Noble has worked as she now claims she really likes the black 3R that was at Pistonfest

Wow, I'm impressed! Do you think your wife could have a chat with mine? I'd like to upgrade my Boxster for a 996 but the phrase 'treading on eggshells' couldn't be more appropriate.

I have always found the art is to let them have your "good ideas" for you
Enthuse about the 996 (for about 10 months ) without ever saying you want one, never mention the correct price as this leaves room to lie
Then one day (at the correct time of the month) mention this cracking deal where some bloke is giving one away
Sit back and be prepared to crash in flames as thats what usually happens.....
good luck

Tell me guys - are you spending money that you yourself have earned, or your wife? Have some backbone!

Don't believe a word of it!!

General chit chat over a glass of wine (or two), brought the subject of buying another Porsche... the words "I will cut your off if you buy another car” muttered the wife!

Clearly doing something wrong
