V.Nice spec Alan.

Zymol, pre collection, hmmmmmm, something we can all learn from judging by the amount of stone chips amassed on my car prior to it's first Zymoling 10 months into ownership.

Are you a Titanium convert then Daz?

Must admit Emm has very few on the front of the Boxster thanks to the Titanium wax. Marvellous.

Rollocks mein Daventric bruvva: if this is true then the large pedal operated by your right clog needs to be angled more aggressively towards an horizontal elevation.

(And given the way Mme.240 takes roundabouts, I find this lack of stone chippery hugely confusing! )

I think its probably due to the lack of guttering on her roof aiding the superior aerodynamics of her car versus your slab sided beastie, dear fellow

In all seriousness, I think the Zymol is a contributory factor. Makes me wonder if its worth bothering HD-Cleansing all the layers off and starting again hmmmm.....

Thank you very much for the pointer.

Agree with DeR, you need to get some lead put in the soles of your right clog.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger - its the missus you should be mithering. However, seeing how she dispensed 3 cars on the A5 yesterday (I was in front of her) I'm not sure where you're coming from

How dare you question the aerodynamic credentials of mein finest Redrow brickesque blob?

I've given up worrying about the odd nose and chip bleeding: if you don't ground out at least once on a run then I reckon you should be tied up with piano wire.

I even chinned Larry the other day, pretending he was an M5 over the moor roads.

(This sounds like an automotive equivalent to that scene in Jaws where Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw are comparing old seadog style bodily scrapes and marks!)

It's a fancy car wax - works well, pricier than normal, bitch to put on as you need to cleanse the surface then lovingly apply.

I am a fan, mainly because it does seem to work, and you can simply rinse the car with water instead of washing it properly for a few months after application... so initial application a pain, subsequent ones a gain.

However, a decent wax polish will be quicker to apply and look just as good IMHO, although effect may not last as long and protection not as great. ie if you want a quick fix and instant reward for minimal effort, use a traditional wax polish

Lots of info about zymol on the net - google it on a UK search.

Cheers
D

Alanp..the specification sounds spot on , lovely car with all the right toys & only two days to collection.
Are you sleeping ?

On the subject of bloody stone chips, made the mistake of being "taunted" into a little scrap with a big bike earlier in the year, some one had left gravel across the road & the bike pebble dashed my entire front end. I went from 0 to ....F*!&%~* stone chips in one giant leap. I was "Pis**d off for weeks..ho hum. Initially thought about getting the front bumper re-sprayed & then decided i would only be more Pis**d off the next time it happened, so battle scars it is !!!
