993 RS tyre pressures ???
Discussion
According to the sticker on the door,,,the tyre pressures on a 993 RS are supposed to be 36 front & 44 rear...As this is the same as quoted for most 911 since the 964 came out I would appreciate a little guidance by current owners.
Assuming standard 8" & 10" speedlines on S02 with 265 section rear tyres, what are the best pressures to use?
I am led to beleive that 32 hot allround is good for a track day but what about normal running around and the occasional spot of fast road?
I tried 32F & 36R this seemed fine,,I would be grateful if more experienced owners could pass on reccomendations ...many thanks

With P Zero C I start with 28/30 on speed events or 30/32 on a track day, expecting to continually drop them back to this pressure during the course of the day; afterwards cold they will be around 24/26.
For road use (driving to and from events) I usually put them up 5psi all round at 33/35 although if it is a long way I would stuff them up to 36/40. Never really try hard on the road so no experience with normal tyres, although with the S02's I ran 36/40 and had no issues.
The car is more sensitive to geometry rather than pressures, I run a little toe-out on the front to stabilise it in a straight line, otherwise it's one sneeze and you're in the slow lane.

Congrats on the new arrival, and welcome to the world of RS...!
I can't translate PSI to Bar in my head, and haven't got the calculator here, but I run 2.2 bar front, 3 bar back when driving around on road, and 35psi hot all around when I'm on track.
I see you have SO2's. I had those on my RS, and replaced them with P-Zeros for a bit. However as my car spend most of its time on track it has run the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, and also P-Zero Corsa track day tyres. I would recommend an extra sticky tyre if you're going to take it on track - they make a BIG difference - worth at least 50-70 BHP. Only problem is they are more expensive, have less tread and wear more quickly = v expensive!
Have fun with the new car,
