After my somewhat cheeky comments regarding Tom from 911virgin, I can report that the man himself has had the backbone and chutzpah to respond to his tormentor. No, not the mild mannered Nun, but yours truly. Well, hats off to Tom.

He didn't lose his rag too badly, and he did show substantial maturity. So I am relaying his comments to level the playing field. I hope some of you take my opinions with a pinch of salt and make up your own minds re Tom, Henry and 911 virgin as sometimes leopards can change their spots or could have been caught on a bad day. I will close this topic after this post, as I wanted Tom to have the last word.

And Tom, if you or Henry feel like contributing in the future, PH always likes a debate and both sides of the story, so we would welcome you Any past axes will no longer be ground.

Cheers

From Tom:

"When we met a couple of years ago I was fresh out of University and had just joined the business, If I lacked people skills and Knowledge at the time it was probably because dealing with people and being around Porsches was something completely new to me. I read Environmental Science at University not the art of buying and selling Porsches.

Over the last couple of years our business has really taken off. This year we will hopefully surpass 350 units (more used cars with a porsche badge on the bonnet than any specialist and probably main dealer in the land). During that period I have had to learn an awful lot. I would be the first to admit that a couple of years ago,(when we met), to put it crudely I knew bugger all. I've had to do a lot of listening between then and now. I've listened to lots of people ranging from companies we use to service cars such as JZ Machtech, Jaz at Wembley, Northways and Tognola engineering, to ex customers, Porsche enthusiasts and of course my brother. And although I would never claim to be the Definative oracle on Porsches, I know a lot more now than I did then.

It sounds a tad odd but Both Henry, Sharon (Henry's wife )and myself treat the business as if it were our own child. One tends to be protective and at the moment I feel that our child is being bullied in the playground that is the forum. Like any Parent I feel I should defend my child.

Admitedly we are probably never going to be the best of friends but I would very much hope that any future input will give you a better understanding of Henry and I as individuals, but more importantly an understanding of us as a company.

Dom, Once again, if you felt I was rude to you please accept my sincere appologies. I know most people in the motor trade are scum. I can assure you I'm not."
