Anyone with the latest generation Fabspeed Maxflow exhaust, can you let us know what it's like.

Do u get the dreaded drone at 2 - 3k revs ?

Where did u get it from ?

How good is the noise ?

Did u get the bypass pipes aswell ?

Cheers

Andy

Andy, I know a few that have this sytsem in the US.

They have now fixed the drone/booming etc and reports coming back are very positive. To be honest if I was buying now I would buy a Fabspeed and that's over the Europipe, Yip the Europipe has a very nice sound which is nice to have, but I would prefer a system to have better power gains and no drone/booming. My order of priority would be.

1: Power Gain
2: Drone/Booming
3: Weight
4: Exhaust Note

I will pull some links out for you!

This is what Alex (Sharkster) had to say about it

SharkWerks/EVO 3.8L GT800: Spring Refresh
It's been a long time since we posted anything about our 996TT but she's alive. Great White TT is back and spruced up some for the spring... The car still has the EVO/SharkWerks 3.8L kit along with the EVOGT800 on it (that's as far as I'm ever going to go) but because I'm getting old it was time to try out another exhaust. I'm getting too old for straight pipes After installing a few of the newest gen 3 Fabspeed's I have to say these are leaps and bounds ahead of anything we saw years ago on the gen 1s. Fitment is really good. The drone/resonance is really much less of an issue on this new-style system. Mke@EVO had a lot of success with the 70mm version on his 3.8 so he recommended we give it a go. It's all modular so the install is obviously quite easy. Job well done there and I was very suprised (pleasantly). Having the turbo kit and power level we have still means we need something that flows real well and this puppy does the job nicely. We're not "loosing" too much power over the straight pipes and what we're gaining is being able to listen to my ipod again We got the tubi-style tips powder coated black since I'm not big on shiny/chrome....

Next up is the 12x18 (covered in 335 meats) and 9x18 HRE C-20 Competitions. We went with charcoal on the center, outer and satin on the inside. Different but we like it....

Anyway's here's some pix:
here's the 70mm Gen 3 Fabspeed and tips:

Hi Andy.

I put a full Fabspeed Maxflow system on a GT3 Mk2 a couple of years ago.
I was very impressed with the build qualitity. It sounded really nice, a deep burble on tick over, and quite noisy at full throttle. I didnt want anything too noisy, and it suited me, although I dont think it would pass for a track day.

I delt with them direct and saved about £1k on the best price I was quoted in the UK. It was even delivered within 5 days.

My system was the GT3 Headers, Cats, and mufflers ( as they call them ). Very easy to fit, just needed a few gaskets and clamps.
PM me if you would like to see some pitcures.

I looked at all the other systems. but was not that impressed with the build qualitity, at some of the prices they were asking. In my opinion the Fabspeed won hands down.

BSRS, agree you can't go wrong with the system, remember your system will be totally different from what Andy requires for his Turbo, sure you already know that though. My Fabspeed is currently being removed at Andy Fearns, it's a couple of years old now and still performs very well, but it's feckin noisey, lol

Steve, Thanks for that, Good point. I didnt know he had a Turbo, he didnt atcually say in his post ! I assume you must know his car. I am sure the Turbo system will be as good as my GT3 one though. I have seen some other products from Fabspeed all equally as good. Regards..

Well

I liked the build quality. It was easy to install as it comes in bits.

It's still doing its job now. No drone.

It's easy to take the mufflers off and have straight through pipes. But with this there's a lot of drone and its bloody loud.
