Depends very much on the car - Goodwood is a real power circuit...
What speed were you exiting Lavant, or taking Fordwater corners at? Those might be more telling numbers...

did a track day at goodwood yesterday , and the max speed i could get at the end of the lavant straight was 127 mph according to my passenger. (i was a bit buisey !). thought that was good , anyone else thats done goodwood noted what there max was ?.
Funnily enough, that's the best I've ever managed down the Lavant Stright as well! That's in a 987 2.7 Boxster. I think 130 is possible but I haven't got the nerve to lift off later and brake later. The run off is not that generous if you miscalculate!I can assure u 150 in 993 rs nothing special.............not even a clubsport , that can be another 5 mph and more with a good driver! Relative lap times , reasonable driver 3.2 abt 1.34,993rs 1.29 ,993 gt2 1 26 or less ................subject to driver standards ........

Careful big V or you'll have the track day timing police after you

A few years ago (pre-circuit facelift) I was really lucky to be taken out by a very nice South African chap in his 993 Turbo: very, very quick and around 140 at the end of the straight. I was later taken out by his mate Eddie who owned a Rubystone RS and we were doing around 120...
Both fantastic drivers - what a day!

The story goes that when Sir Walter Rohl was over here showing the Carrera GT to customers before Goodwood Festival he took Lord March around the Goodwood cicuit in less than a minute then turned the car around a did the same thing on the track anti clockwise
Similar story about Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren SLR last August/Sept but dont know the details
I was at a Porsche trackday a couple of days after the event and the marshalls were keeping "Mum" about the whole episode
