I've just bought a 968 this week and was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few queries
1.what spark plugs, oil filter and oil should I use
2.is it possible to get a stainless finishing cover for the exhaust pipe - a bit max power I know but it looks a mess !!
3.is there anything like a Haynes manual available
many thanks Andy

Not too sure about the engine bits and bobs (I use Magnatec 10-40 for my 944 turbo and this seems a popular choice with other 4 cyl Porsche owners...
As for trim and stuff try www.tipec.org.uk under the links section for loads of Porsche part suppliers and particularly www.porscha.co.uk
I think there is a Haynes available but again I'm not sure where to find them...useful aren't I?! You could try www.gmundcollection.com

You can get plugs & filters from eurocarparts or german & swedish at sensible money.Plugs are bosch, filters are fram...but Porsche logo filters are cheap even from Porsche.
Exhaust trims are available everywhere,,go to the Porsche club bash on 31/08 and there will be a bazaar of such trinkets...
I don;t think there is a haynes,,but there is one for the 944 which is closeish.
Check out US site www.968.net
there are also a lot of uk & european contributors to the site, there are technical sections, with detailed digital photos which show you how to do the more usual repairs & maintenance on the 968.
