Theres a 915 gearbox for sale on E-Bay, its from a 1985 3.0SC, problem is that it's already up to £550 and it's not met it's reserve, it's got 6 days to go so keep an eye on it.

Ninemeister is very good with these boxes, you could probably get the parts from him if you can rebuild it yourself ?

What Domster said, with particular emphasis on the first one.
Secondly, my dad managed a rebuild of that 'box the spannering is not massively difficult. Pretty sure we still have the workshop manuals if you need anything.
There's one on that list who are (in my experience only) complete BS merchants, but I can't name and shame I've mailed you our experience (and you Dom)

JD, why not post the chap an e mail, keeps it legal and above board and warns the chap off dealing with a shyster?

Jarel - didn't get your post... let me know off line (through profile if the email address you had for me doesn't work) and I may drop them from the list next time. Cheers

I've just done a 3.2 box that lunched 2nd gear and a fair selection of bearings, forks and shafts. Total cost of rebuild back to perfect is about £1500. I also have a box available for spare parts, but if you add up a set of gears, even used, it will cost you more than the cost of a used box.

My advice is to buy a used box from one of the reputable guys and do not pay with cash (even if it saves you the VAT), pay full price, get an invoice and pay it with a credit card so that you have a comeback if there are problems and they will not honour the warranty.

My recommendation out of the list is the last one, Prestige Salvage in Leeds, Neil and Kevin there are straight and will not sell you crap, tell them that Colin at 9m sent you.
