Does anybody know where I can get hold of a cover that clips onto the soft top roof when it is down .

You'll be able to buy it from your OPC. However, retrimmers like Southbound may be able to help. Also see hood specialists who advertise in Porsche Post and 911&PW but I'd start with OPC for initial cost.
