Just been out to the 'Ring for two days with RMA in my recently Motec'd 964rs Clubsport with a pal in his yellow 964rs formally known as Scaramanga.

Both cars performed perfectly, 1800 miles in four days, with only fuel and a litre of oil between them. Who says modding cars can impact on reliability.

Off to Ninemeister for the Motec +1 and Motec +2 next month!

It can snow at any time! April and July there has been snow, we were just lucky and had two dry days.

Thanks John. I have that table in my favourites folder. I was just curious as to when they close the track ie for trackdays, industry testing etc.

I suppose the RMA dates you've just done would be about on the limit as far as guaranteed "drivable" weather is concerned.

PS - Nice garage. We had an RS6 at Bruntingthorpe in october, a fine all rounder.

Yes (sob) but I'm not that upset as I managed to get a nice Colnago and Caterham for my money. Admittedly not as quick as Scaramanga, but then taking Scaramanga out racing would be a bad idea....

Good to know that our engines are being used in the manner intended. Scara should just about be run in by now so it will be ready for the +2 package. Lucky for you I have the longer duration cams in stock and the pistons & rods are already in production, so we should be ready to go by December.
As for the +3 we have on the drawing board a new carbon plenum intake system which may just be ready by March next year. Model predicts 20-25bhp bolt-on for any 964/993/993RS model, only time will tell though so watch this space.
Tell me again though JC, how fast were you cruising through Germany??

Yes, I saw a Carbon C40 and I could not refuse All Campag Chorus and shiny newness; given the winter weather it'll look less new fairly quickly I reckon.

Just thought that I would tell all that Scaramanga is no more. No, it's not gone to meet it's maker around a piece of armco, it's just that new owner R has decided that the extra nipple must go (and who can blame him). So, from now on, the car formerly known as Scaramanga will now be known as "Symbol".

I believe I know who it is, but I'm sure he wishes to preserve his modesty.

The most important thing is that everybody escaped unharmed, with just a little badgering to the bodywork.

The patina of good use on a 964RS, if I'm not mistaken

As I was at the event, and know the owner of the car, I think that knowing he was ok, and that the damage was minor is sufficient to halt any further questions on the subject.
