if i wanted a porsche
Discussion
I'm guessing any porsche more than ten years old, so you are currently looking at the last 964 cars and earlier. As for how much and what performance? how long is a piece of string?
Does anyone on here have a porsche on a classic car policy?

My '91 Cup Car is on AON's Classic Marques Policy for £400, 10% of value excess on track and 0.01% + tax per track day. 5,000 mile limit.
To qualify for this policy, the car MUST be garaged and at least a second car.
But, I've been with them for YEARS and I believe new business on a similar car would be about £1200-1300.

Are Classic Car Insurance companies bothered if the car is heavilly track-biased? I mean, will they refuse to insure you if you've got something like a 964RS or a 968CS M030 with a roll cage in it, uprated brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cups etc?
Yup. My 964RS is on a classic policy, limited miles, with mods.
I have a 964 C2 (LHD) on classic car insurance limited to 3.5K. miles - £350 quid. Not bad considering 3 points (this year), a "full air bag" accident last year, and the fact I have not insured a car for the last 7 years - company car you understand. However I do live in deepest darkest Wiltshire and am an old git (43)
Yep! My 993 is on AON`s Modern Classic policy, limited mileage, garaged and agreed value. Also AON has a carry-over policy, for unused miles!
My old 911 3.2 Carrera was on the same and was much, much cheaper. I think that they calculate the policy cost according to your declared value. But if you get over about £20K you need a (PCGB) valuation.
