I sold my RS early on in the year and have been in a downward spiral ever since-anyone out there know of a very clean low miles LHD car for mid £20's? idealy any colour except red and preferably with cage/ motec etc.

"very clean low miles LHD car for mid £20's"

VERY unlikely -prices have gone up. You may be lucky to find one for sub £30K.

There is a black one in the for sale section, 25k.

...I think you'll find that Skidmark's car is even less than that price now...

...and I know someone who paid £26k for a low mileage car a month or so ago...so they are out there - you just have to find them (and avoid overpriced dealer/private dreamer cars)

What about the '91 midnight blue one at www.gtclassics.co.uk for £24,995. Sounds reasonable with 60k miles.

The one is GT classics does need a bit of tidying.

I think the back of one of the seats is scratched, some of the carpet in the drivers footwell is very worn and one of the dials has got moisture in it.

He did send me some pictures.

That doesn't sound like much too put right, unless you are more biased toward concours than Nordschleife.

I guess so.

But I also have to consider will a 964rs be 15-20k better than my 944turbo with upgraded suspension? Some of that 15k to 20k would need to be financed too AND I would need a 2nd car if I bought one of them.

....ah, thats better, I've talked myself out of it - I can't afford one.

I still think if I was taken out in one that was for sale it would be hard to say no though

The last owner had it for seven years too. If you can afford to own one for that long it is a hint that he could afford to maintain it properly as well.

The 27.5k silver one on the same site also seems worth a look with an engine rebuild just 3000 miles ago

Thanks for your replies, will keep looking.
Looking for a car with miles in the 20's not for this concours rubbish but want a fresh tight car.

Should your handle be RS Owner 2B?

Have a look at www.911-rs.de.

Also e-mail wjmATferrari.co.uk to see if his car is still available.

lol it took me a while to see the 2003 date, I sold my GT3 for £38k and turned down a 964RS lightweight RHD for £37k as it was crazy money at the time for one, I did get to drive the 964 RS though and for UK roads it was a bone shaker !!! so yet more hype on unusable cars which were a hard sell back then.

Pity they didnt make a Diesel version with air suspension. You'd have loved that

As soon as the first Impreza came out people realised that the 964RS actually rode quite well. My CLK63 was worse than the RS - AMG's answer to try to contain the portly car was to firm up the suspension so much that the car skipped from bump to bump!
